Based in Memmingen, Germany
bytemotiv is an independent game/app studio based in Memmingen, Germany. We specialize in cross-platform development for entertainment and business.
Our first title under the new studio name is a twist on your regular match-3 game. With only 12 cards visible at a time you have to find a set of three cards matching a rule that seems easy at first but can be quite tricky depending on the shown cards. While being a free downloadable title we rely on (optional) video ads that give the player a hint on a match if he just can't find it on his own. While available for mobile phones and tablets running iOS and Android, more platforms are coming as soon as the ad provider supports them fully.
Alex and Kris met over a mutual friend a few years ago and started together with a third friend working on a tower defence game for mobile platforms, targeted towards the quadro-annual Wallenstein Festival in Memmingen, Europe's biggest medieval festival with a few thousand active participants and over 70.000 visitors. While relying on established tower defence mechanics the game featured historic accurate rendered backgrounds and units. The supreme graphic quality was much acclaimed and resulted in over 70.000 download on iOS and Android Devices. Unfortunately internal plans changed and we had to abandon this former studio.
